About New Delhi
New Delhi is the proposed location, and the city is ideally suited as a world-class travel destination. From the famous icon of India Gate to the Museum of Modern Art, The Congress delegates can enjoy the ethnic and cultural diversity of New Delhi. It is the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern. The city and its satellite town, collectively known as the National Capital Region (NCR), is the epicenter of economic and political development in the country. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the world with some of the largest global and Indian corporations being headquartered here. Charting phenomenal growth after India’s independence in 1947, Delhi has become a cosmopolitan mixture of religious groups, linguistic communities, social segments and economic brackets.
New Delhi is also the gateway for tourists who wish to explore India. Of great interest to tourists are the city’s famed monuments such as the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Old Fort and Bahai Temple. It also serves as the access point to a world-famous tourist circuit, The Golden Triangle – New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur as well as the famed hill stations of the Himalayas
Climate
The average temperature in Delhi during September is roughly 29°C (84°F), marking a warm and humid transition from the monsoon season into early autumn. With an average daytime high of Around 33°C to 34°C (91°F to 93°F) and a nighttime low of Around 24°C to 25°C (75°F to 77°F).
Early September: Usually experiences higher humidity and occasional heavy showers as the monsoon recedes.
Time Zone: Local time in New Delhi in India Standard Time (IST) which is GMT + 5.5 hours.
Health Details
All passengers who are travelling from Yellow Fever endemic countries, as notified by the World Health Organisation, are advised to take the Yellow Fever vaccination 10 days before their scheduled arrival in India. List of Yellow Fever endemic countries may be seen at: https://ihpoe.mohfw.gov.in/vaccination.php. Accordingly, participants from Argentina, Brazil and the African Union may take note of the requirement of their Yellow Fever vaccinations.
Currency & Banking
The currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR/`). Currency is easily exchanged at the airport and at designated Government of India approved dealers. There will also be facilities for currency-exchange at the Hotels. Delegates can withdraw Rupees through ATMs. Major foreign credit cards are accepted in all modern establishments; hotels, restaurants and stores.
International Dial Codes
The country code for India is +91, and the code for landlines is 011. To call a local number, you can dial +91, and for a landline, dial 011, followed by the number you wish to call. Similarly, to call an Indian mobile number from a foreign number, you should dial +91 followed by the mobile number you wish to contact. Delegates intending to use an Indian SIM card can obtain one from an authorized mobile network operator.
Electricity
The electricity supply voltage in India is 220-240 volts with plug types C and D. The Congress delegates are encouraged to bring their equipment, such as electric adaptors for mobile devices, intended to be used. Round pins with three points are used in the Indian plug point.
Drinking Water
Drink filtered water to avoid any potential health issues. it is advisable to bring your own water bottle and refill it from hotel/venue/office.
Medical Support
An emergency medical support unit shall be made available at the Congress venue. Accessibility & Special Requirements: Delegates are encouraged to inform the Congress Secretariat of any special needs requiring assistance, such as accessibility and ambulatory requirements, allergies, medical issues and any other needs through email. All information will be treated confidentially.
Dress Code
All meetings – formal business attire. Delegates are expected to wear smart casual attire for the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner.
Photography
You may be filmed or photographed by the official photographers/broadcasters and media over the course of the Congress. In addition, photographs and short video compilations of the Congress attendees may be posted on the official website and social media. By registering for the Congress, you are providing your consent for the same.

Please check with your general physician about getting vaccinations before visiting India.

The Congress language is English, and the prominent local language is Hindi.
